Swiss AI startup Giotto.ai is seeking to raise over $200 million at a valuation above $1 billion, positioning itself as Europe’s latest contender in the race for artificial general intelligence, sources told Reuters. The Lausanne-based firm has hired Lazard to advise on fundraising, aiming to expand research, build commercial prototypes for enterprise and government clients, and open-source parts of its technology. Founded in 2017 by CEO Aldo Podesta, Giotto has previously raised $19 million and sold a compliance product to RQM+ in 2022.
